Working with Industry: Part Three

October 16, 2019 - 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Taubman Health Sciences Library, Room 2901
1135 Catherine St
Ann Arbor, MI 48109

What is study startup & closeout, and how do you determine the cost to carry out each step? What are the fees associated with the CTSU, and how does the CTSU assist in negotiation to recover those fees? How can you tell if study finances are on track or are in danger of going into the red? Why is the billing calendar and entering study visit occurrences so important?

Join us for the third installment in our Working with Industry series on Wednesday, October 16, where we will focus on how to help faculty, new and established, understand finances associated with industry-sponsored clinical research studies.

This session is presented by Amy Oliver, Pre-Award Finance Process Lead and Sheree Temple, Post-Award Finance Manager, and developed in collaboration with faculty members Anna Lok, MD, Larysa Wickman, MD, Veibhav Sahai, MBBS, Meilan Han, MD, Jose Cardenas-Garcia, MD, and Allen Lee, MD.

Part Three will use real examples from a clinical research study to cover:

  • Building a budget
  • Tips on negotiation
  • How to interpret monthly finance reports
  • Tracking payments and invoices
  • And more

Refreshments Provided. Attendance of prior Working with Industry sessions is not required to attend Part Three.
