Working with Industry: Part Four - VIRTUAL MEETING

March 24, 2020 - 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

This session is now only offered through BlueJeans. Please see the dial-in information below.

Would you like to be more involved in the budgeting process for industry studies?

Join us for the fourth installment in our Working with Industry series on Tuesday, March 24, where faculty will learn how to become more involved in the budgeting process for industry-sponsored studies. Faculty will receive a step-by-step guide on developing a budget by Anna Lok, MD, Assistant Dean for Clinical Research, who will use her years of experience and real examples from an actual protocol to share best-practices and helpful advice. This session will provide a view of budgeting from a faculty’s perspective and does not require prior accounting training or experience.

Part Four will teach faculty how to:

  • Understand the protocol, including item costs and coverage
  • Interpret a sponsor-offered budget
  • How to combine the protocol and sponsor offer into a Michigan Medicine CTSO budget
  • Negotiate with a sponsor

Attendance of prior Working with Industry sessions is not required.
