A Conversation with the Burroughs Wellcome Fund
In what may be the greatest period of chaos and uncertainty of our time, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund is presenting Michigan Medicine faculty a firsthand look at significant funding opportunities designed to overcome the exceptional obstacles before our scientific community and accelerate discovery.
In an event sponsored by the Michigan Medicine Corporate and Foundation Relations team, researchers can learn about the fund’s various grant programs including:
- Biomedical Sciences: Research grants for M.D.s
- Diversity in Science: Grants for postdocs and graduate students
- Infectious Diseases: For investigators in pathogenesis of I.D.s
- Career Guidance: For trainee career readiness pilot grants
- Regulatory Science: For development of methodologies to inform FDA approaches
- Reproductive Science: Through the Next Gen Pregnancy Initiative
The session will also offer insights on what the fund is looking for in a successful proposal. Questions will be welcomed.
