Ask an NIH Program Director

Lunch & LearnResearch Development, part of Grant Services and Analysis in the Medical School Office of Research, is hosting Dr. Thomas Greenwell for an upcoming lunch and learn webinar. Dr. Greenwell is a Program Director at the National Eye Institute (NEI) at NIH, and he’ll talk about the role of an NIH Program Officer (PO) and provide “tips & tricks” for contacting and interacting with POs at NIH. He will also answer questions from event participants.

Dr. Greenwell joined the NIH in 2007 and has served as a Program Director at the National Eye Institute since 2009. He manages a portfolio of over 120 grants in development and regeneration for retina, glaucoma, and the Strabismus, Amblyopia and Visual Processing (SAVP) Programs. He is active in the NIH community serving on various NEI and Trans-NIH committees, and continues to serve the vision community at NEI by evaluating scientific progress, as well as management and funding of NEI grants.
