Cancer researcher

Cancer remains the number two cause of disease-related mortality in the United States and worldwide. However, little progress has been made in the treatment of the most common forms of cancer.

Already one of the leading institutions in the world in a number of areas of basic cancer research and drug discovery, the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center connects collaborative research teams across the the University and beyond, and coordinates all levels of multidisciplinary research including basic, translational, and clinical care. And by working closely with the industry to facilitate the development of drugs and the early-phase testing of new potential cancer treatments, we are leading the way in the discovery of tomorrow’s cancer treatments.
