Team provides varied knowledge of data, biosamples to enhance research
“Erin, Robinson and Sachin with the Data Office team have been wonderful in terms of helping us with our project. We needed help pulling data for many phenotypes for genetic analyses. With their guidance, we figured out exactly what we needed, explained what the variables meant and what they were able to provide. This helped us understand the strengths and weaknesses of the EMR data. They were timely in providing the data and were helpful in giving us guidance toward quality control for publication.
"The different team members have complementary knowledge about subjects, so meeting with the team was helpful. Robinson was fantastic at explaining the structure of the database and the nuances of the variables and how they can be used while Sachin was helpful in giving us insights into how longitudinal data can be best utilized, as well as how ICD codes can be used for publication. Both Sachin and Robinson helped us understand the file formatting and how to convert it for our use. Erin was great at linking the phenotype data with the genotype data to move genetic analyses along. Vici of the Central Biorepository helped us understand what was available in the biobanks and how to utilize this service. Overall, this has been very helpful to our efforts and we appreciate the wonderful help we have received.”
