Governance Policies

Central Biorepository policies are established by the CBR Governance Committee, which is comprised of current stakeholders in the CBR, including the Biorepository Director, the Senior Associate Dean for Research, the Associate Dean for Regulatory Affairs, Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research and Director of MICHR, Associate Vice President for Research – Research Policy and Compliance and several rotating faculty-at-large.  The faculty-at-large members may be utilizing biorepository services, or may be from stakeholder departments, such as surgery and pathology. Policies developed by the Governance Committee aim to encourage use of the CBR and collaboration among U-M investigators while ensuring that all research using CBR resources meets the highest ethical and regulatory standards.
