What is a research core?

A core in the Biomedical Research Core Facilities is a centralized facility or lab that offers shared services, shared equipment, resources and expertise to biomedical researchers and investigators on a fee-for-service basis (usually in the form of a recharge rate). A nearly comprehensive list of cores available at the University of Michigan can be found on the Other Core Resources page.

More information on specific services can be found at each individual Core Facility website.
