Experiencing the Clinical Trials Transformation

3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Med Sci 1, M5330

You're invited to join the Clinical Trials Support Office as they shine a spotlight on the clinical trials research transformation here at the University of Michigan, in an event featuring Dr. Peter Higgins and Project Manager Kay Sauder in an engaging “talkshow style” panel discussion.

Peter Higgins
Dr. Peter Higgins

As one of the medical directors of the Ambulatory & Chronic Disease Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU), Dr. Peter Higgins and his study team, including Project Manager Kay Sauder, were among the first to transition to the new clinical trials support system in early 2017, with a trial of the therapeutic Etrolizumab for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.

What were the hurdles they faced–and surmounted–as early adopters of the new clinical trials system? How did the Ambulatory & Chronic Disease CTSU administration team help them work with other offices on campus, such as ORSP and Finance? What’s it like using OnCore, the new clinical trials management system, on a daily basis?

Join the Clinical Trials Support Office as they take a closer look at these questions, and more! And in addition to the panel discussion, you'll hear the latest news from Dr. Anna Lok, Assistant Dean for Clinical Research, including details about the upcoming transition of Cancer Center trials to the Oncology Clinical Trials Support Unit in late spring 2018.
