Clinical Research Project Manager - Children's
Nicholas L. Harris, CCRC, ACRP-PM is the Clinical Research Project Manager for the Children’s Clinical Trial Support Unit at the University of Michigan (U of M). A graduate of the Indiana University (IU) School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Nicholas has worked at multiple academic institutions as a research specialist and coordinator. His entire career has been in Pediatric care, with a previous appointment at IU Riley Hospital for Children. He was a scientific member of the IU Institutional Review Board, an elected School of Medicine Staff Council Representative, and the Executive Board Vice President for the Huntington Disease Society of America Indiana State Chapter. He has helped teach junior clinical research coordinators and investigators the process of obtaining valid informed consent through the Michigan Institute of Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) and earned his Clinical Research Management Graduate Certificate at the University of Michigan. Nicholas represents the U of M Medical School on the Faculty Senate Research Policies Committee (RPC) and is an item writer for the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) research coordinator certification exam. His professional mission is to advance medicine for those in need by providing quality support in implementing clinical research, guided in the understanding of the history of human subjects research, the current day guidelines and regulations, and a strong foundation of ethical principles.
