Julie has been with the University of Michigan for over 20 years, and brings over 15 years of research administration experience to the CTSU-ACD, in both pre- and post-award. During her time with the University, she has worked with many departments including the Cancer Center, Biological Chemistry, and Mechanical Engineering. Her most recent appointment as a Research Process Coordinator with the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, expanded her knowledge through faculty research in the areas of concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, and Neuropathic Gait and Balance. Throughout her tenure here at U-M, Julie has retained a plethora of knowledge in research accounting and sponsored projects. Her solid relationships with faculty throughout the university have led to successful multi-million dollar sponsored awards through various departmental collaborations. She received a Bachelor of Science in English Literature and a master's degree in special education, both from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting family in New York with her teenage son, Colin, volunteering and fostering dogs through The Devoted Barn in Newport, Michigan, and playing soccer.
