A tenured professor in the Department of Pathology, Dr. Nikolovska-Coleska has been director of the Molecular and Cellular Pathology Graduate Program since 2013, and in 2018 she was appointed Associate Director of the Program in Biomedical Sciences. She is an internationally recognized biomedical researcher focusing on the discovery and development of molecularly targeted therapies for cancer treatment, particularly targeting protein-protein interactions involved in regulating apoptotic pathways and epigenetics.
“Students, graduate students, and postdocs are key foundation blocks in our research enterprise,” notes Steven Kunkel, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice Dean for Research. “Dr. Nikolovska-Coleska has a track record of mentoring dozens of students and postdocs since coming to U-M.
