Teri Grieb, Ph.D., Appointed Associate Dean for Research Strategy

In this new role, Dr. Grieb will provide expanded strategic, tactical, and operational leadership of the research enterprise across the academic medical center of the University of Michigan. She is a recognized expert in the application of business and change management principles, as they relate to the operations of academic biomedical research.
Dr. Grieb received her Ph.D. degree from the Genetics Program at George Washington University, and after several positions in the corporate biomedical arena, joined the University of Michigan in 2006 as an Industry Research Liaison. She has received multiple awards for her service activities across the University of Michigan, recognizing her innovation, productivity, and leadership insight necessary to face the challenges that confront our research enterprise.
“Teri has played an increasingly crucial role in supporting our biomedical research operations and developing strategic research initiatives,” notes Steven Kunkel, Ph.D., Executive Vice Dean for Research at the Medical School and Chief Scientific Officer for Michigan Medicine. “As the Associate Dean for Research Strategy, she will continue to build upon her past successes.”
