Presentations by Candidates for Executive Director of the Michigan Neuroscience Institute
Neuroscience research is one of the areas of focus of the “Great Minds, Greater Discoveries” strategic research plan. A commitment to the Michigan Neuroscience Institute (MNI) plays an important role in that strategy, and a national search was launched earlier this year for an executive director for MNI. The new executive director will spearhead increased collaboration among our neuroscientists, coalescing neuroscience programs across the entire U-M campus.
A cross-campus search committee, led by Lori Isom, Ph.D., and Martin Myers, M.D., Ph.D., and with the assistance of a national search firm, has worked diligently to narrow down the field of applicants to four candidates. All are renowned in the neuroscience field, and each has been scheduled for on-campus interviews.
During their visit, they will share his or her vision for the institute during a public presentation and meet with representatives from U-M. All candidate presentations and subsequent Q&A sessions will be live-streamed on Zoom (login using @umich.edu), recorded, and shared for those who cannot attend in-person.
