A Message from Dr. Kunkel

March 11, 2020

Dear Research Colleagues,

This afternoon you received a message from President Schlissel regarding the preventive measures U-M is taking in the face of the growing concerns about COVID-19. I’d like to reiterate that Michigan Medicine leadership is evaluating conditions on a minute-by-minute basis and to assure you updates will continue to be provided as new information arises.

We have been working closely with Dr. Rebecca Cunningham, U-M Interim Vice President for Research, to provide guidance for the research community. I encourage you to CLICK HERE to review the resources and FAQs developed by the U-M Office of Research (UMOR), and also bookmark our own Medical School Office of Research website, where we will post updates specific to the biomedical research operation. Our Medical School Office of Research is collaborating closely with UMOR, Environmental Health and Safety, and other offices across campus to take the necessary steps to ensure you have the information and resources necessary to continue your very important work.

The continued health and well-being of our entire U-M community and the patients we serve remains paramount. Thank you for your dedication, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to ummsresearch@umich.edu (link sends e-mail) with questions.

Best regards,

Steve
