MCRU RN Services Available Starting February 1

January 12, 2021

The Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) is happy to announce that they are adding full-time (Monday – Friday) Nursing Services to our clinical research service line starting February 1, 2021. Researchers will now have access to RN services that provide infusions support, injections of investigational product, administration of protocol-specific medications, and limited physical assessments.

Clinical research RN services currently being performed at the Taubman Center (TC) Infusion Clinic will be transferred over to MCRU. Study teams will receive a 1:1 reach out to assist with this transition and to provide a transition date.

To access the new RN service, use the dropdown menu in MiChart InBasket to select nursing services as part of your scheduling request. For new studies supported by a Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU), please also indicate MCRU Nursing Services on the CTSU Feasibility Form. This will facilitate study activation and ensure MCRU is represented at the study planning meeting.

All new nursing services performed through MCRU will have a $120 per hour recharge rate. Off-hour and weekend requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To view a list MCRU services and recharge rates, click here.
