MCRU CVC's Room 10 Closed for Non-COVID Use

The Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU) is actively working with study teams on numerous protocols focused on COVID-19 research. Safety precautions must be followed for known COVID-19 positive patients or Patients Under Investigation (PUI), and this includes respiratory isolation in designated negative pressure rooms.

Because of these requirements, beginning January 1, 2021, Room 10 (MCRU CVC’s negative pressure room) will be solely reserved for COVID-19 studies in order to safely isolate study participants.

Given the limited request for this room use for other studies, this will not significantly impact any of our investigators. If you currently have a visit scheduled to use this room, MCRU management will contact your team by Friday, December 18, 2020, to utilize one of our four other extended stay/overnight rooms that are available.
