Inflammation is a strategic research priority at the Medical School, and the subject of the upcoming Dean’s Lecture at 1:00pm on October 5 at NCRC. The event will feature a poster session themed “Inflammation: Friend or Foe?” and researchers are invited to submit on topics relating to inflammation’s role in health and disease. Up to 40 posters will be selected.
The deadline for submission of a brief poster description is Sunday, September 17. All posters selected for the event will receive a $100 gift card.
In addition to the poster session, the agenda for the event will include a keynote by Steven Holland, M.D., director of the Division of Intramural Research, and chief of the Immunopathogenesis Section at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. There will be a series of presentations by U-M researchers after Dr. Holland’s talk, followed by a panel discussion. The afternoon will wrap up with the poster session and reception.
